Young Greenwich partner Young Urban Arts Foundation (YUAF) have won the Creating Places Awards, Community Project of the Year 2019, delivered by L&Q.
L&Q is a regulated charitable housing association. Housing around 250,000 people in more than 95,000 homes, primarily across London and the South East, L&Q is one of the UK's most successful independent social businesses. L&Q host the Creating Places Awards to recognise the people and groups who make a real difference in their community.

YUAF, currently celebrating its 10-year anniversary, has proudly worked with almost 18,000 young people. Working closely with youth providers and housing associations to reach young people on their doorsteps and within their communities. YUAF has been recognised by leading housing association L&Q by crowning their Amplify Yourself project, winner of the Community Project of the Year at the Creating Places Awards 2019.
For nine months, the Amplify Yourself programme impacted 58 young people within the Barking and Dagenham borough, focussing on Barking Riverside & Academy Central Estates where these creative workshops, support and focus was needed to help develop the young community’s mental health.
